I went up to Boston this last week and, of course, stopped along the way to look for old poker chips. Pickins' was slim!!! I got a couple in Saratoga Springs, NY but nothing really new. The only really neat thing I saw, I let get away. In an antique shop in upper Mass. a guy had a large set of chips with a G inside a ring. He got them in an estate sale. It was a 400 chip set in a neat old wood box with a lid. It had a metal plaque on top with three initials, the last one a G. I figured I couldn't afford the set and since it had about ten chips missing I didn't think I couldn't sell it. So I got the guy to just let me buy one of each color. Later my wife tells me he told her he hadn't sold a thing all week and I could have probably gotten the set for $75. Still kickin' myself for not going for the whole set. Was a good trip with lots of fall color.
