I have been collecting chips for almost 20 years now, and like you are somewhat disapointed that the values have dropped as much as they have lately. The tight economy and the loss of a number of collectors have had it's effect on the hobby. I would hope that in the future the chips would again be worth what you paid to acquire them, but I was told when I started collecting " Collect because you like it, not to make a profit " and I think that has to be the same today.
