I just got the November issue of Wired magazine and there's a very interesting article about how Cantor Fitzgerald (the Wall Street firm that had its headquarters in the twin towers) is changing sports betting in Las Vegas with a computer system that lets bettors wager on all sorts of things while the game is going on. The system is being used at the M resort. I can't find article online yet, but Wired usually puts their content on their website after a few weeks, so if you're interested you can watch there for it.
