() Offer show attendees face value for any Nevada LE's they bring to the show. Pay them in dated scrip that can be used for purchasing a CC+GTCC membership. If they have scrip left, honor it at the dealer's tables for chip purchases only during the show. Must be a new Club member to purchase with scrip at the show.
After the show, dealer's exchange any scrip taken in for the LE's surrendered at the door (if they want them). Remaining clunker LE's go to the Club where they are destroyed as part of the stimulus program or returned to the issuing casino if still redeemable. Membership dues (taxes) are increased next year to cover the loss to the Club.
Nothing comes free... dealers contribute by destroying some tendered scrip... Club Members pay a few dollars more in dues to help get new members.
Works for Obama... why not for the Club?
If this is successful, make the same offer for membership renewals next year. Unwanted clunkers are gradually removed from circulation (the highway of the hobby) and members learn the joys of collecting real casino chips rather than souvenirs.
