Lots of mistrust was caused and a lot of people were hurt by what occured.
All I wanted everyone to understand is that there was an underlying reason that there was mistrust issues.
Yes, I know when you trust someone you should take them at their word. However when someone else tells a conflicting stoty, one starts to question even the most trustworthy people.
Bottom line is that the machines are now gone and the no smoking policy is now official.
Apparently that has not always been the case, as the security guards told us.
The misinformation that was given out ended up causing hard feelings among BOD members, Committee Chairs, dealers and members. In the end not only was there feelings hurt, but the club was hurt, and I am not sure we can ever recover completely from this mistrust issue.
Both sides need to understand why the other feels the way that they do as there were reasons for both sides to feel that they were right.
Had the contrary information never been given to us by the South Point personnel, this would have never become an issue and everyone would have been better off.
Thats all I have to say on this issue.
