I will do my best to answer. Nebraska has never had a good track record with Texas. As for last years Big 12 Championship some people feel that the 1 second put back on the clock last year was a farse and are still mad about it. It is what it is. I think some of the fans really wanted to see Nebraska win the game to prove some kind of a point. Yes, some t-shirts were made just to bring up the hype, but generally they are just t-shirts and the fans here generally do not act out against others.

On the other side - our fans... They are the most welcoming fans to visitors at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln. You don't have to worry about your safety before, during or after the game, which is not the case in Colorado and Missouri for Nebraska fans. My son is in the Cornhusker Marching Band and when they went down to Kansas last week they were pelted constantly by water bottles. We brought in quite a few Texas guests in this weekend for the game and I was talking to on of them this morning and we talked about the game and he said that the fans were extremely nice and even congratulated him on the Texas win, he thought it was really cool.

Here is another interesting event that happened at last years Big 12 championship. Both the Nebraska and Texas marching bands ate together between practice and the game, they even played a game of pick up football before the game.
