... I don't understand about the "chip float" thing, but I get the counterfeiting part. However, why would a casino worry about information on a chip or chips that have been discontinued? I understand newly issued chips, but obsolete chips?! Why wouldn't a manufacturer give out information on chips from a casino that is no longer around? If a casino goes bankrupt and is not bought out by anyone, why can't the chip information be released? Is there some sort of Nevada Gaming laws in question?
