I had to go to downtown Nashville again today so I figured I would try the state library to see if they had criss cross directories for Wm. Buchanan of Nashville/Hendersonville. Hendersonville is on the river at least 20-30 minutes away from the downtown area. So far Mr. Buchanan is being very elusive. If he actually lived in Hendersonville then he was not in the 1960's or 1970's phone book. Apparently Hendersonville was too small to rate a criss cross directory. I can't figure out where his order of chips went or where he lived. My last two options are to trace the ownership of the house at that address and see if he was an owner. Or check the newspaper records and see if he is mentioned in a raid over the years. The state library has gambling records but there is no index to them. Maybe the main library has an index.
