"Do you SERIOUSLY think that your discussion will bring about any changes to these guides?"
Well, to be honest, no... but then again, if those generating the guides truly do listen to those in the casino chip collecting industry, whether they be dealers, collectors, maybe even manufacturers, they should at least consider it, just like they arrive at chip values. But you are right... what difference does it make if only a few people speak up and make any suggestions, right?!
"... because I know EXACTLY what the authors mean..."
No, Steve... No one ever knows what any author ever truly means. It is always a foreign language and every author thinks they are Shakespeare.
"... so my vote cancels out yours!!"
I didn't know that I had a vote... Besides, look at all the votes and see what is in the White House now?! Not always better and not always worse either.
"AND, I thought that you've noted that you solely use "The "Official US Chip Price Guide" as the basis for your collection, so what's the difference with what The Chip Rack notates anyway?"
Yes, that is correct, but remember that in my posting, I refered to newcomers - "To better help newcomers into this hobby, there has to be less confusion. Making it easier, more definitive in describing chips would help greatly. Example: this chip = this casino; that chip = unknown at this time ~ research pending..."
