I am a 100 percent seller on EBAY. I also buy items I think are overpriced by contacting the seller with this phraseology: "I am interested in buying your item through EBAY's "Buy It Now" feature. If it doesn't sell, I am interested in completing the transaction through EBAY. Most seller are willing to take a reasonable offer. However, it must not violate EBAY rules and by asking to use EBAY complies with their policy. Either way, EBAY still get's its commission and the sale takes place within the EBAY community that's covered by buyer protection if something goes wrong. I hope this helps.!
