asking someone to end an auction early? I know that many have done what you've noted & I have been asked to end an auction early. Your answer might be found in the "Sellers" area of 's HELP section where it notes as one of the reasons to end an auction early "The item is lost, broken or no longer available for sale". I, personally, don't like it when that happens on an item that I'm bidding on, but can understand the reasoning. One thing to be cautious of though -- if you do that, you have no recourse or protection (for whatever that's worth) through or PayPal if the seller "stiffs" you.
