I posted the photo and accompanying story from the Review-Journal the day after the El Rey Fire. Within that blog pot are a couple of accounts from folks who were there.

When the book comes out I have plenty more to share about that fateful night.

I'm hopeful to one day get my hands on an original copy of the RJ from January 22, 1962. Surely there has to be a few newspaper collectors out there who can help.

The book project is slow-going, but building steam again. Please pass the blog site around to any old timers, collectors, people in publishing, etc. I can always use more stories, always want to add to the collection of artifacts and photos, and am always in dire need for the details so I can present the most accurate story of Willie Martello and the El Rey Club. It really is quite an amazing tale.
