you did in fact say Not ONLY Ebay. I thought you had inferred a conspiracy in pricing since the guides were just dealer prices.
You mention David Spragg, however the main pricing guru in the TCR group is Jay Sands who has never been a dealer.
On the particular chip you noted a conspiracy in pricing, since you never mention which chip is is, I cant give you any background. You admitted that you had no idea what this booked for in TCR, so my statement about them all pricing at guide value could be correct.
Nothing against James and I absolutely love his book, but a lot of people still consider TCR the "Bible" and only use it for pricing.
I still contend that there are 10 times the chips that are NOT priced the same on everyones tables. I have consistantly bought chips at the convention at one table that were priced 25% to 50% less than on other tables. I have also overpaid, but thats a different story.
Bottom line, I would disagree completely that there is an overall effort of conspiracy in chip pricing, even if several people do have the same price on a chip.
