In any case, I imagine that a number of factors, including the economy and the denomination of the chips contributed to the final results. I don't know the proper value of Jeff's chips, but even the quantities of the find could have impacted the values if there are few enough people that collect in that area. Others may be waiting to see what happened with the first auctions. Oftentimes patience can save you money in these types of situations. It's the downside of the admirable honesty that Jeff showed on this board and in his auctions. Potential bidders believed they would have multiple chances for these chips.
Ultimately, I hope it all works out for you and Jeff, as well as the Bahamas and Playboy collectors.
