Here is a scan of a typical chip. I am looking for "The Cove" small key chips from Palm Springs. The color has been discussed at length and it seems these at one time were a tan color as one member cleaned it. Have no idea, just speculation how this finish came about. One thing is the gold stamp is still very shiny.
