Tunica, there was nothing but cotton fields.
In fact there were NO hotels in Tunica at all. We stayed at the only Bed and breakfast in town that had 8 rooms for rent. if you wanted a hotel, you were driving to the outskirts oif Memphis
Talk about the middle of nowhere, yet still they were drawing thousands from all over.
At that time there were only 2 casinos (Lady luck and Splash) and people waited in line to pay $10 a head to enter the casinos.
Times have changed for this gampling mecca.
