word in the poker world is that all involved with the WSOP are proceeding with planning and coordinating to have the tournament at the RIO next year. No indication if that means they'll have it at the RIO regardless of who the owner is.

It'd probably be difficult to plan an event of that magnitude at a new venue if they don't already know where that venue is though. if they wait until November 10 to announce a sale that only leaves 7 months to try to schedule a new venue for the series.
