Do you have a registry cleaner..? The registry can get cluttered over time and the more cluttered it gets with useless info, the slower your computer will run. I use a registry cleaner/defragger at least once a week, along with cleanup as mentioned by others in previous posts. It does make a big difference.

Also, like mentioned in another post, you require a minimum of 2GB of ram.
