My favorite city, I was lucky enough to visit in the States, was Boston .... I remember going to Harvard Square (back in 1986) and saw this busker whom I donated ten bucks because I thought she was that good .... the next year, while attending University in Ottawa Canada, I came across a new audio tape (ya, those things we use to put into Sony Walkmans) of this same person I saw busking in Boston .... it was her first label-release .... Tracy Chapman.
