We Used a rail pass for most cities, then rented a car in Nice for 4 day's and drove to Monte Carlo, San Remo, and the three casinos in Nice and drove to Cannes and 3 casinos they had, and a couple casino on the way. France has a ton of casinos, Germany a lot, London a ton, and all countries in Europe now have many casinos. I was in Monte Carlo on 3 different trips over the years, They charge an admission 7-8 dollars. I found no problem playing Rou. Dress code coat and tie after 7-8PM. Easy to harvest chips, Rou tables 15 feet long. They have 3-4 stick men to keep track of who plays what #, I was worried that someone would claim my bets, but no problem. Also,-3 other casinos adjacect to the mail old casino some only open in summer. Slots all over terible pay offs, impossible to win. But, main table game is Rou. with some Black Jack and a few have craps. Traveling in Europe is terrific, so much to see, and do, and now so many casinos. Best travel is by train, and rent a car in key locations. We stayed in 2 star-to 4 star hotels, Oct best rates, and less people. July & August is vacation time for most people.
