Hi Jim,
I don't want to take up a ton of space here on the board, so briefly:
around 1995 I and a partner who has passed on, owned the Oceana Club in Oceano,CA. We purchased the old Fremont Club in Nipomo. My partner continued to operate the Oceana Club while I spent about 5 months completely redoing and modernizing the Fremont Club. It was shut down during this time and when completed, I opened it as The Busted Flush Casino. Some time later we got rid of the Oceana Club and just operated the Busted Flush. My partner retired due to illness in 1997. I operated the cardroom alone for a couple of years and then sold it. The new owner continued operations for almost a year when it was discovered that he had a large brain tumor. Not long thereafter he died. His daughter was unable to continue operations. The cardroom closed and the current owners of the building have a bar in half of it and a pizza parlor in the other half. If you have any questions or want more detailed information, you can contact me at Calchips@msn.com
Thanks, Butch
