I just want to start out by saying WOW!!! I never expected people to be so welcoming and willing to help a new collector. So thank you all sooooooo much for all of the help so far. I also really want to say thanks for the offer of 25 free chips if I join the club. I really think I will end up joining but I need to wait for a little money first(Paying for a house on a single income, getting married in October etc...). I think it would be awesome to come out to the convention (Plus I love South Point. Stayed there for half of my last trip) but I don't think finances will let it happen. I can tell you all that I plan to focus my collection on all Las Vegas casinos both present and past. I would especially like to get some items from the Stardust, Westward Ho, The new frontier, Boardwalk, and some of the older properties. I also will be collecting all denominations but I do like the odd denominations (.1o, .25, .50, 2.50, etc...)and I also tend to like the chips with the metal center. Eventually I would also like to pick up a few Silver Strikes (I have none) and I have seen on Ebay their are some from the Palms that have pictures of old cars on them (which is another hobby of mine) that I would really like to get.
Again, I just want to say thank you to everyone who has responded so far and I welcome any other responses and advice that people have to offer. Dan
