Place was virtually empty when we went there. A local taxi driver told us they are thinking of closing for a few months and opening up again when tourism picks up again. Also talk of the Chinesse investing billions of dollars on Cable Beach however they want to use, as Gene would say, cheap chinesse labor and bring in 5,000 chinesse workers. The unions down there are having no part of it but the locals want it to compete again Paradise Island & Atlantis. They want to make it like a Riveria of sorts with new upscale hotels and casinos.
