The new ChipGuide is up and running. The new ChipGuide data is now in a database instead of in the HTML pages used by the old ChipGuide. The data was converted and then verified. It was not possible to capture all of the old data automatically, so some manual updates will have to be made and we know what they are. If you see something that needs fixing, use the UPDATE button on each item to let me know about it. But for now the ChipGuide will look pretty much the same as the old ChipGuide - that was the primary goal of the conversion. You will some new functions available, like QUICKVIEW that will let you view all the chip images in a "catalog format". Other new functions will be coming soon and will be announced on the ChipBoard.
Now that we have the new ChipGuide, we will be able to add new chips and other collectibles. Look for that announcement very soon. Several individuals have volunteered to be responsible for adding new chips from different areas, but we don't have the whole map covered yet. If you are interested in volunteering for an area, like Mississippi Riverboats or California Tribal casinos for example, just email me. Volunteers will get a graphics editing program that is great for casino chips. Training sessions will be held for volunteers to instruct them on how to update the ChipGuide.
