....that I was saying to myself: "boy, wouldn;t it be awesome if they had made Bay City Rollers trading cards!
Actually...pretty cool lookin stuff. I remember all of those too.
When my son was born, I went out and picked up all of the various trading cards that were available and packed them away for him. I also put together every magazine from his birthday month/year that I could get. I had put the word out to everyone I knew for them and ended up with boxes and boxes of them.
I picked up every newspaper I get get my hands on including the gossip mags from the grocery store.
Then I went to the comic book store and picked up tons of comics for him. All of the printed materials were then sealed in plastic and his little time capule was set aside.
When he turned 21, I handed over the boxes of stuff to him. He looked through it all and just loved it. I had kept it a secret from him all of those years. To say the least, he absoluetly loved it all. Then, he politely asked if I could keep it all for him longer so it would safe.
Silly me thinking that after storing all of these boxes for 21 years I might finally unload it and get some storage space back.
