Thanks for the info.. When I talked to the airline initially, I refered to them as 2-way radios.. they thought I was talking about radios that would pick up airline communications which are not allowed.... They tell me that FRS radios (aka walkie talkies) are okay to pack in carry on luggage. ... It all depends on how one communicates to another who should be in the know...

In further checking, some airlines in foreign countries do not allow them in luggage at all!!

I haven't travelled by air in many years.. always by car or bus so it was never a problem...

Anyways, we always like to have our radios along with us as I tend to get "lost", and my wife always finds me (or v v) using the radios..
