Franklin mint made them and sold them (for got how much). Believe they came out in 1978 . They could be bought with a bazel and chain too. They are the 100fran chip use at MC
but are made in silver. I have seen them at 40 to 50 dollars but the ones ordered from the mint were more. All this is based on mine which I got via the mint. Hope this helps a bit.
