Forget "awhile"! You'll never have them all, money aside, there are some that will never surface in our lifetime. I'm at a little over a 1,000 & have been collecting Nevada $5 obsolete chips since 1996. That is part of the enjoyment of the hobby though. The reason I decided to concentrate on just Nevada $5's was because there are a number of early casinos that never had $1's. They did have $5's though. One example is a casino I picked up a $5 from at the convention, Gary's Casino, which was in South Lake Tahoe. One of my favorite $5 chips in my collection is shown below.
