A few years ago, Gary Shepherd and I had just left the convention and headed across the street to the Stardust to play craps. Kind of our tradition for three or four years in a row and Jim's show in Reno at the Golden Phoenix. We get to the craps table and are the only ones at the table along with my girlfriend and get cheques. I got $100 and Gary got his chips. They give the dice to Gary and as I am looking through my "stack" i notice an odd chip in the mix.

I told Gary, "Look at this" it's from another casino, even though the mold looked the same in the stack. Low and behold Gary says, "That's a good one!"

And it was. It was a $5 Verdi Nugget CIC in darn good shape! Gary bet me a drink it was worth $250. To no surprise...he wasn't lying... James had it at $150 - $225 - $300 if not mistaken.

The next day at the convention, when I was telling the story, everyone thought I was lying. Thank goodness Gary was there as NO ONE would ever have believed that story.

So...Check your Cheques!
