The wager reminds me of the days when Hollywood had no idea how Roulette was played; especially in the Westerns, where a cowboy would walk up to the table and call/place his bet at the same time ("red/black"). In fact, I doubt hollywood had any idea how any game was played... especially the use of chips; what was used, when... as in some movies current Die-cuts of the day were used as props in Civil War/Old west movies. Same with payouts; they had no idea as to what they were doing... But we all enjoyed the movie... and that's all Hollywood cared about...
