The Chesterfield was not the same club but it was also in Detroit. I would think it was probably under the control of the Purple Gang like everything that moved in Detroit at that time. The address is now an Olive Garden so the building at 8 mile & Gratiot in Detroit would be gone for sure. There is not much history that I can find other than that. I guess some research at the Public Library records will need to be done but I do not have the time right now. I have a couple of these available for $7.50 delivered if anybody wants one. LMK
