I thought the scanned images of my chips looked great on the 3GS - you can actually zoom in and see greater detail (and imperfections too!) better than you can see with your naked eye or even with a magnifying lens. I can only imagine what they look like on an iPhone4. I have a year before my AT&T contract expires. If I want the iPhone4 right now, it would cost me $699 -with 32gb - no way!

6 months before my contract expires, they'll let me upgrade for $299 - that'll be next January.
I think AT&T may be a little short-sighted here. If Verizon announces anytime within the year, I'll be switching to them. If AT&T offered me the iPhone4 right now for $299 I'd commit to another full 2 years with AT&T plus I'd sell my 3GS to someone on eBay for about $150 and that person would probably sign up with AT&T. That would make more sense and more $s for AT&T IMO.
