Here is part of the auction description:
DESCRIPTION: Up for auction at a low opening bid are two vintage inlaid roulette chips (for roulette tables 12 and 15) from the famous, lavish (for its time) Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, resort-casino-hotel Agua Caliente (1928, to 1935 when gambling was declared illegal in Mexico). Above are period post card pictures of the casino and the famous Gold Bar room. A stone's throw across the California-Mexico border, the place attracted the Hollywood rich and famous. Gambling and drinking, for example, were illegal in the U.S. at that time. The resort and its closing is reputed to have given Bugsy Siegel the inspiration to build the Flamingo, the first luxury hotel-casino on the Las Vegas strip. Siegel was said to have had a financial interest in the Agua Caliente's race track. The chips were undoubtedly made by the U.S. Playing Card Co., which we know made the crest and seal casino chips for Agua Caliente.... .....
