Erik I lived in San Clemente for 15 yrs.
I have a married son and Daughter w/ 7 grandkids still living there. The best of SC is the beach's, and Dec. can be nice, if you are lucky 70-75 and sunny, people relaxing and getting a tan on the beach. Or it can be cold and stormey.I'd say 50/50. The SC Inn is located on the south end of town on the ocean side of the freeway, near Pres. Nixion's old summer home. The Inn is old but has been remodled, and is now nice, I'd say 3***. The town is a upper class family homes, 500,000 - 2-3 million, very good school system, and very popular in summer time for vacations at a beach town. Not a lot of nite life, was originally a sleepy little fishing town, now all the hills are filled with housing developements. A very peacefull town in the winter, with good eateries, and ocean views. Gaming as stated, Ocean 11 card club 20 mins. south in Oceanside, has BJ, 2-card poker, & Pai gow, plus 40 tables for poker, many Tour. AM & PM. The best part is excellent food at low prices. The closest big casino is Pechanga, 1 1/4 hr. drive non peak traffic times, a very large casino 1200 slots, all card games, large poker room, and craps, & Rou. on regular crap and rou. sixe table, but cards sin on Rou for #, and cards delt for dice #. or large Electronic machines for Rou.,Pai Gow, and Bacc. San Diego is the best town to visit, with sea world, harbor with boat tours of 7th Navel Fleet, famous world war 11 ship tours., Coronado IS., Zoo, wild animal park, ect. it is 1 hour to the south. Plenty to do in SO Cal. Enjoy, many more activities I have not mentioned. E-mail me if you have any questions.
