I am proposing a sweepstake as follows :
Everyone stakes one $5 chip - must be in excellent / uncirculated condition. For overseas collectors, a 5 denomination from other countries also counts (so for me, may be a £5 UK chip - haven't decided yet!)
Entry only by replying to this post with your name and "I'm in" in the messgage
The maximum entries is 32 (including me). You may ask for 2 places, but if there are enough entries you will only be allocated one team. If there are spaces then you will be allocated a second team.
Prizes will be 20 chips for the winners and 10 chips to the losing finalists (i.e. 2nd place). The 2 winning entrants don't send a chip. The split is alphabetical - so the 1st 20 entrants alphabetically (excluding the winners) send to the winner and the other 10 to the second placed. I'll confirm who sends to who at the end.
If we don't have 32 entries, then the highest placed entry gets 2/3rds of the chips and the next gets the other 1/3rd. If there is a tie (i.e. 1st and joint 5th) then the prizes may be split - my decision will be used, but I will try to be as fair as possible!!!
If there are more than 32 requests, first 31 to this post will be entered (the 1st being me!)
All entrants are responsible for mailing costs to the winners - which may be overseas.
Hope that is all clear - I'll clarify any issues as we go along.
The first game is Friday 11th June at 3pm British Summer Time (10am Eastern, 7am Pacific) and so the entries will close at 10pm Pacific on Thursday night (1am Friday morning Eastern, 6am BST). I will email the list as soon as possible after then(maybe earlier if all 32 places are confirmed). I will put the names in a hat and ask my wife or daughter to draw them out.
