Thanks, Stan, but it's not a problem getting the scans onto the iPad. I can do that with iTunes and sync as you mention, and end up with the scans in multiple folders as I want. The only problem is determining the order you can view the scans in with the Photo viewer. I want them to appear alphabetically by file name, as that's how I have them in my collection. It appear that if you scan them in alphabetical order it works fine. I updated some pages after the main scans were done and I can't make them appear where the replaced scans were.

One of the problems is there are at least three date fields that Microsoft associates with any file (I use a PC with Windows 7). There is also a field that apparently represents the date a picture was taken. Apple doesn't say which of these they use (I can change them all with a utility program) and my experiments so far haven't given me the solution.

I know this thread may seem like it doesn't belong on The Chip Board, but I think the iPad is going to be a very useful tool for collectors and hopefully my posts will give some other iPad'ers some clues on how to organize their collection on the device.
