Sorry, But I Gotta Agree With Bob...
Recently one of the fellas that works at the Las Vegas transfer yard (where Darrell drops his company trailers) offered to make a chip run for us to the Tavern. He laughed when Darrell told him that it was not a "nice" place. Trust me, this kid was built like a brick ****house and could back it up.
The following week, Darrell ran into him and the fella shoved the chip money back at Darrell (Darrell had sent him to the Tavern with enough money for chips and several beverages). He quickly explained that from the moment he stepped into the place, he was made to feel VERY unwelcome.
He ordered up a beer and within a few minutes decided it was a good time to leave - - BTW, our friend is an African-American and grew up running the streets of Vegas.
As he explained, the crowd in the Tavern is very tight, and it doesn't matter who or what you are - if you're from outside the immediate neighborhood, you're not welcome!!
If you go, heaven help you (cause' ain't nobody else gonna)!!
