The Links Golf Club c&s was delivered to A. Daugherty in 1918. Other than that info, the chip was an unknown. With no writing on the inlay it would be put in my Generics section.

A. Daugherty (Andrew Daugherty of Consolidated-Daugherty playing card fame) had a shop on West 14th Street in NYC. Also there existed (and still exists) the most exclusive Links Club on 62 Street in NYC. I figured there was a connection, but where was the Links Golf Club --Westchester?, Long Island?, Connecticut?, Jersey, Pennsyltucky??

Turns out the club was built off Shelter Rock Road in Roslyn, Long Island. Besides clippings and other pics, I have a sattelite view of the former Links Golf club, now a housing development. Pretty neat. It clearly shows that the area was formerly a golf course. The names of the roads in the development are named after famous golf courses. Click the link (no pun intended) below)
