Well, first of all, they're keeping exactly one half of the prize pool... selling $72,500 in tickets and paying out a total of $36,250.

So, the odds are 2:1 against. To put it in casino terms, would you play a slot machine where you knew the payout was going to be 50%, or would you look for one that paid out 97%?
