I just checked a couple of 35mm film canisters each with a pair of dice that have been in there for more than 8 years (at least) and there are no signs at all of degrading. I also found a pair of dice from the Las Vegas Club that have been in the original clear plastic film type bag they were given away in... also no sign of degrading.
