A story that I often think of is one my son witnessed. Random searches were policy at an airport so profiling could not be claimed, a woman flying alone with assistance from the air carrier to board was in a wheelchair and was clearly in her late 80's and frail was held up because she could not stand was given an extensive search. My son commented to a coworker, "No doubt she is planning to storm the cockpit!"
Yet, when a group of aggitated aribic speaking young men are causing a scene aboard an aircraft the pilot refuses to fly with them on the plane, faces possible career damage, and the airlines possibly face lawsuits.
Somewhere, I'm the captain so, Sit down, Shut up and Behave or get off my airplane has to be policy. (Plus the option to eject a trouble maker in mid-flight has a very nice ring to it too... )
