Something magic happens when a casino chip is listed on eBay, it becomes rare! Searching "rare casino chip" in the collectibles category (just before posting this message) I got 115 hits. I also searched the auction descriptions and got 664 hits.

Once, as sort of a joke, I listed several auctions on eBay stating in the auction title that the chip I was selling WASN'T rare. That prompted some fun messages and email. My auctions got more views, however, my sales were about the same as when I ignored the word "rare" completely. I should probably list some more auctions like that again sometime soon.
