VDARA, nice hotel, only one restaurant, SILK ROAD, Eggs benedict $18.00! Staff very nice, rooms pretty good!
ARIA, they botched the opening. Fireworks for 3 minutes, let us in at 11:15PM, no gaming until 12 midnight, wasted all that enthusiasim and could not gamble. Good size crowds but I beleive they opened that late to avoid huge early evening folk! Place is large, staff is friendly, chips are NICE! Too big, tourists U R THERE! Best thing about ARIA, seeing Andy Hughes at poker room cashier!
CRYSTALS, not our kind of place! Spend money at big names like Van Cleef, Tiffany, leave, eat at Eve Langoria's place, leave, no place to sit, just shop and eat and go! Cold, museum like structure!
Design issues:
1. Walkway between Bellagio and City Center uncovered on both sides and what do you see!! GARBAGE DUMPSTERS and MAINTAINENCE equipment, should have been closed on both sides with art renderings or the such!
2. Signage to actually get to ARIA and VDARA, weak, anemic and hard to find! Made 4 illegal manuevers just to get to the narrow ramp to get to the second level so I could find VDARA!
3. Very narrow street patterns throughout, too many buildings too close together! I think they are going to have trouble with this place!
