If they list the same chips, combined shipping with prices to compensate for the difference, then people say the prices are starting too high, or too much for single chips and don't buy them.

Yes, I agree that any auction that does not offer combined shipping should clearly state that, in the listing, we do not combine shipping not leave it a mystery. That way if a buyer doesn't like the way the seller is balancing prices and shipping, the buyer can go someplace else. No hard feelings, no misunderstandings.
If someone has an answer. please tell me, because I have the same problem. If I start low and get multiple sales, combined shipping, I lose money on the sale. If I list higher and offer combined shipping, people don't bid, because the prices are too high. (DANG!)
