I agree that the lack of personal responsibility is rampant in today's society. I have my own theories on this subject and one of them involves roe v. wade as the catalyst. That is another road that I'm not going down today.
However, if Harrah's provided him with illegal drugs that changes things in my mind. If the guy bought the drugs off of the street and then blew his fortune at Caesars, so be it. If Harrah's, a "pillar"** of the state of Nevada can be shown to have had a hand in providing the drugs I think they should be HARSHLY punished. I don't even care if he begged his host for drugs and threatened to take his business elsewhere if they weren't procured. Perhaps suspending their Nevada gaming license for a few days would do the trick.
Then again, I'm naive.
