The last time that the 'Christmas' chips said 'Christmas' was 2002 (one of my favourites of the bunch, BTW).
In 2003, they dropped 'Christmas' in favour of 'Peace' and 'Xmas'.
In 2004 and 2005, they dropped 'Xmas', keeping 'Peace'.
In 2006 and 2007, they dropped 'Peace' in favour of 'Happy Holidays' and the year.
In 2008 they dropped the year, having just 'Happy Holidays'.

Given the um, 'minimalist' trend in their chip designs as of late, I predict that the 2009 chip will be black block lettering on a light gray background, with nothing but the word 'Holiday' and the denomination.

Of course, I keep buying them (at least these chips, since I use them as ornaments on the Christmas tree) even when they're less than inspiring, so I've no one to blame but myself I suppose...

Hoping they come up with something good to 'Wow' us this year, despite my expectations,
