I always liked that chip, and had forgotten it was small crown.

Now, why didn't the split inserts become more popular for that mold? There certainly were a lot of H-molds made with this kind of inserts.

I'm assuming the Tropicana $1 on eBay was either a prototype or a modern fake. Is there any history on it?
