an intent to buy that particular chip, but in the meantime before I actually contact the seller by a separate email (that contains my mailing address,) I understand that someone may have contacted he/she directly without posting the "Sold" message and the item may not be available. I think it more or less lets other members seeing the for sale message that "someone" has already taken an interest in purchasing it and not flood the seller with more emails. Just MHO.
