Probably shouldn't have used the term "pulled" (sounds too official) and perhaps should have used collected/removed/destroyed... if, indeed, the pieces were pre-euro (as I stated not being 100% sure)... as the info I've gathered isn't quite clear that there is a monetary unit involved... or if so; lost in the translation... or related to other similar pieces.
