WOW! That is a drastic measure! I understand they have hired back the pilots that were furloughed and are in the process of hiring more. I was told they bought 90 new aircraft for new routes they have picked up. It was looking like business for US Air was picking up and both the company and employees were dodging the bullet (at least for now).

40% cut and loss of retirement is pretty much being HIT with the bullet.
